A Day in the Life of a Blind Ahstronaut

At the November edition of UX Sofia 2024 in this thought-provoking talk, the first blind astronaut Kalina shared some bits of her unique journey navigating the challenges in the high-tech world of space exploration. Through personal anecdotes, she shedded light on the unexpected obstacles faced in daily tasks and how these challenges led to improvements in technology and procedures for all astronauts. The session offered a fresh perspective on accessibility, innovation, and problem-solving in the most unlikely of places – outer space, showcasing that small changes can lead to greater efficiency and inclusivity for everyone.
